Is the CapTrav solution easy to use?
The CapTrav solution was built with the non-technical user in mind. With an intuitive interface and easy navigation, you don’t have to have a masters in computer science to use our service! Most of our customers are off and running after a short introductory online training session.
How long does it take to set up?
It typically takes between 6-10 one hour calls with your technical team to get the CapTrav service up and running. Once the system is running, our support team will work with you for 30 days to provide any “fine-tuning” you need. That’s it!
How does the CapTrav solution work?
The CapTrav service is offered as a cloud offering. This allows for fast deployments and provides you with the ability to easily access your corporate travel data from anywhere, securely.
Will the CapTrav solution meet my company’s privacy and security requirements?
We have designed the CapTrav solution with data integrity and security at the top of the list of priorities. Our solution has the flexibility to adhere to the strictest of corporate policies. That being said, every company is unique when it comes to privacy and security. As a result, we find it helpful to introduce your company’s technical, privacy and security teams early on in the solution discussion to ensure their incorporation into the approval process.
Does CapTrav do anything with my company’s data, like sell to third parties?
No. Our business model is based on providing the best product and service / support to our customers. We do not sell your data to third parties. CapTrav considers your company’s data your company’s – and we see ourselves as stewards of that data for your use in making the appropriate business decisions for your company.
I’m in the middle of a TMC change, can I implement CapTrav simultaneously?
Absolutely. We’ve designed the solution to be easy to set up with a short ramp to get running. The solution is also supplier agnostic, meaning that we can operate with multiple TMCs running place. There are some data advantages to having the CapTrav solution in place prior to your transition, including benchmarking and before / after comparisons, etc.
Can I specify how I deploy the CapTrav solution?
Yes. As a part of our onboarding process, we spend time to discuss what your objectives are for the solution and how you would like it set up. Many of our customers take a “staged” approach towards rolling-out the CapTrav solution, such as deploying in North America first.
What data sources does CapTrav use for benchmarking?
We use third-party data providers ARC and Trip Bam for our benchmarking sources.
Can I benchmark leakage?
Yes. Because we capture travel data regardless of data source, one of the huge benefits of the CapTrav service is the ability to benchmark your out of compliance travel bookings. This alone can provide you the data you need to have more informed conversations around leakage and whether direct bookings are helping or hurting your program.
Does the CapTrav solution normalize corporate travel data?
Yes. We normalize hotel data down do the property address, providing you a more detailed view into your hotel suppliers. Additionally, we capture the actual ticket number from the airline which greatly facilitates your conversation with your airline supplier(s).
Are there any suppliers you don’t work with currently?
No. We can collect data from just about any supplier, including: air, hotel, rail, car, shared economy and demand economy, i.e. taxi / Uber / Lyft. We can even work with extended stay suppliers and black car / limousine suppliers.
What if I change suppliers or TMCs while using CapTrav?
Because the CapTrav solution was created to be supplier agnostic, you have a high degree of flexibility from a supplier / TMC perspective. Because we can work with simultaneous TMCs, the CapTrav solution can provide some consistency from a data management perspective while you are changing providers. Additionally, because CapTrav is your data repository you can keep the data from prior suppliers giving you complete control and access over data from prior TMCs.

How long has CapTrav been in business?
CapTrav has been in business for several years. We are a privately held company founded by Brandon Strauss, Nick Romano and Michael Wright. Our founders bring nearly half a century of experience in the travel, meeting-management and software industries.
I’m a small or mid-sized company. Can CapTrav help my company too?
Absolutely! The CapTrav solution works with both managed and unmanaged travel programs. Because of the capabilities of the solution, many high-growth customers find that they can postpone or even eliminate the need for a third-party management company for their travel saving considerable money on an annual basis.
How much does the CapTrav solution cost?
The CapTrav solution is priced for value and offered as a monthly recurring subscription.
Am I bound to a long term contract?
No. Our view is simple: We feel it is our job to earn the business of our customers every month. Our longest contract term is 12 months and we offer no-term contracting options for our customers.
